62 Backpacks. One Incredible Community.

This August, the CVBIA Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council came together to support local students and educators through a Back-to-School Supply Drive benefiting REACH, Inc.

The goal was simple: collect 25 backpacks to help local students start the school year with the supplies they need to succeed.

Our CVBIA community went above and beyond.

Together, we collected 62 backpacks — more than double our original goal! In addition to backpacks, members and friends donated books and classroom supplies to further support REACH’s mission of promoting literacy and ensuring children throughout Coastal Virginia have access to the resources they need.

Donations will help support REACH’s Big Free Bookstore and School House Rockin’ Teacher Resource Program, providing books and essential school supplies free of charge to students and educators in our community.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, helped collect supplies, or shared the drive with their networks. Your generosity demonstrates what is possible when our industry comes together to invest in the next generation.
