Ed Hopper is a Virginia Beach business and community leader who believes that success is measured by the positive impact we have on others. As CEO of ALTOR Processing Systems, Ed has built his career around a simple philosophy: “Be the Light”—using business as an opportunity to serve, give back, and strengthen the community.

Service has been a constant throughout Ed’s life. He is a longtime member and Supervisor with the Virginia Beach Lifesaving Service, previously served his community as an EMT with the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad, and currently serves on the Executive Board of the Virginia Beach Surf & Rescue Museum.

Whether he’s leading a business, serving on the beach, supporting local nonprofits, or preserving Virginia Beach’s lifesaving heritage, Ed’s goal remains the same: leave his community a little better than he found it.
